Terms

These are the terms for using Sudsbook, an app for running a cleaning or window cleaning business. It is provided by Tim Dennis, a sole trader in the UK ("we"). By signing up you agree to them. Questions: hello@sudsbook.co.uk.

Your account

You need a real email address and your own business details. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what's done with your login.

Paying

New accounts start with a free trial and no card. After that Sudsbook is a monthly subscription at the price shown when you subscribe. Founding members keep their founding price for as long as they stay subscribed. Payments are taken by Stripe. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page; you keep access until the end of the month you've paid for, and we don't refund part-months. If we ever change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you.

Your data is yours

Everything you put in, including your customers' details, belongs to you. You can download your customer list at any time, even if your subscription has lapsed. If you delete your account, we delete your data as described in our privacy notice.

Looking after your customers' details

For your customers' details you're in charge, and we look after them for you. That means we:

• only use them to provide Sudsbook to you, and never for anything of our own;
• keep them secure and confidential;
• only use the providers listed in our privacy notice, and tell you before adding a new one;
• help you if a customer asks to see or delete their details;
• tell you without delay if we find out their details have been exposed;
• delete them when you delete your account.

You're responsible for having a good reason to keep your customers' details, and for what you send them.

Using it fairly

Don't use Sudsbook to send spam, pretend to be another business, or put anything unlawful on your public page. Your quotes and invoices are yours: you're responsible for your prices, for charging VAT correctly if you're registered, and for your own tax. We can suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why.

Reviews

Only ask real customers for a review, and ask them whether or not you expect a good one. Don't write reviews yourself, ask friends or family to, or offer anything in return for a good review: fake or incentivised reviews are against UK consumer law. You can reply to a review but can't change or remove it. We may hide a review that is abusive, fake or unlawful, and we'll tell you why.

Your public page and the directory

Your business gets a public page and, unless you switch it off in Settings, a listing in the directory. What it says comes from you, so keep it accurate. We don't check or vouch for businesses listed on the site.

How much we can promise

We work hard to keep Sudsbook running and your data backed up every night, but we can't promise it will never go down or never have a fault. We're not liable for lost profits or business, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Changes and ending

We'll email you about any important change to these terms at least 30 days before it applies. You can stop using Sudsbook at any time. If we ever close it, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice to take your data with you.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
